Job summary

The role involves mentoring junior staff, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring code compliance and quality. Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD and strong client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of building systems design experience.
• Experience leading electrical system designs for commercial, institutional, civic, mixed-use, or higher-education projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, California Building Code, energy codes, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of building electrical systems: power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
• Act as discipline lead, coordinating electrical design from concept through construction.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specs, reports, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate electrical with architectural, structural, mechanical, civil, and specialty disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure project quality and schedule adherence.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders throughout execution.
• Support business development, proposals, and client relationships.
