WSP is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Property & Buildings team in California. This role is based at a California office and focuses on leading electrical design for complex building projects from concept through construction, with client engagement and business development responsibilities.

You will oversee design plans, ensure code compliance, mentor staff, and coordinate with owners, regulators, and other disciplines on K-12, higher education, civic and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• Lead electrical engineer with strong technical leadership skills.
• Experience engaging clients and driving business development.
• Proficient in coordinating multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical infrastructure design for complex building projects.
• Review and approve electrical plans for compliance with codes.
• Oversee projects from concept to construction close-out.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with clients and regulators.
• Prepare technical reports and cost estimates.
