WSP in Riverside, CA is seeking a Full-Time Electrical Engineer to join the Property & Buildings Team. You will help design electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and higher education projects from planning through construction.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of building electrical design experience, an EIT (or ability to obtain within six months), and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, NEC, and the California Building Code. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of relevant electrical building systems design experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficient with NEC and California Building Code; strong software skills.

Responsabilités

• Design electrical systems for building projects including power, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and telecom.
• Prepare calculations, analyses, and layouts under senior engineers.
• Develop construction documents: plans, specs, schedules, reports.
• Coordinate with architects, mechanical, structural teams.
• Conduct site visits, investigations, and condition assessments.
• Assist with studies, reports, and project documentation.
• Support project managers with scope, budget, schedule, delivery.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, submittals during construction.
• Participate in client meetings and provide technical input.
• Ensure designs meet codes and client requirements.
• Collaborate to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
• Adhere to WSP Code of Conduct and safety policies.
