Job summary

SSOE is seeking a mid-to-senior Electrical Engineer (Automotive & Industrial Facilities) to lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical systems for complex industrial and manufacturing facilities. This role will support automotive, battery, advanced manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer products, and other industrial facility projects from concept development through commissioning.

Fully remote options may be available for those not within a commutable distance of an SSOE office.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
PE license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
8+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities; 10+ for senior level.

Responsibilities

Lead design and execution of electrical systems for automotive, manufacturing, battery, and industrial facilities.
Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying size.
Develop power distribution systems from utility service through facility networks.
Prepare and review one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, and cable schedules.
Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil, and architecture teams.
Support facility expansion, modernization, and greenfield projects.
Interface with clients to understand requirements and provide recommendations.
Review vendor documentation and coordinate utility service requirements.
Lead design reviews, estimates, schedules, and staffing plans.
