Job summary

SSOE is seeking a mid-to-senior Electrical Engineer (Automotive & Industrial Facilities) to lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical systems for complex industrial and manufacturing facilities. This role will support automotive, battery, advanced manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer products, and other industrial facility projects from concept development through commissioning.

Fully remote options may be available for those not within a commutable distance of an SSOE office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities; 10+ for senior level.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of electrical systems for automotive, manufacturing, battery, and industrial facilities.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying size.
• Develop power distribution systems from utility service through facility networks.
• Prepare and review one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, and cable schedules.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil, and architecture teams.
• Support facility expansion, modernization, and greenfield projects.
• Interface with clients to understand requirements and provide recommendations.
• Review vendor documentation and coordinate utility service requirements.
• Lead design reviews, estimates, schedules, and staffing plans.
