Jacobs is seeking a senior Electrical Power Systems leader for hyperscale data center programs. You will shape MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and arc flash safety, while guiding multi-disciplinary teams and engaging clients.
The role blends technical authority with leadership and mentorship across projects. The position emphasizes innovation in BESS, renewable integration, and AI/GPU power density scaling, with a focus on delivering reliable, efficient infrastructure
Qualifications
- Active Electrical PE licensure in at least one U.S. state.
- 20+ years of professional electrical engineering; 15+ years in data center design.
- Experience with MV/LV distribution design and UPS topology.
- Experience with power systems studies and code compliance per NEC/NFPA/IEEE.
- Proficiency with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower and load flow modeling.
Responsibilities
- Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients.
- Drive power chain from MV switchgear to UPS and generator paralleling.
- Provide technical governance across discipline teams.
- Present at client workshops and industry forums.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to design-build delivery.
