Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to lead design, analysis, integration and verification of electrical systems for space-grade products. You will guide methodologies, advance technologies, and own the most complex initiatives to improve performance and reliability across programs.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, mechanical, and manufacturing to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Expert knowledge of electrical engineering principles and power distribution.
• Extensive lab experience for bring-up and verification of new hardware.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Establish electrical engineering methodologies and architectures for complex products.
• Define design standards, analysis methods, and technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate architectures, requirements, and technologies; provide technical direction.
• Lead electrical analyses, hardware integration, and qualification activities.
• Direct solutions from data to improve reliability and mission performance.
• Approve verification approaches and engineering recommendations.
• Serve as the technical authority across multiple teams.
• Develop standards, methodologies, and interface requirements.
• Mentor engineers and establish best practices across programs.
• Improve electrical performance, efficiency, and long-term capability.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
