Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to lead end-to-end hardware development for high-rel satellite and aerospace electronics. You will drive architecture, schematic, layout, bring-up, and verification, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with software, mechanical, and production teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 12+ years of board-level electronics design, analysis, and test.
• Experience designing high-reliability electronics for space/defense.
• Ownership of complex board design from architecture to production.
• Production deployment of hardware products.
• Expertise in HDI layout and IPC standards.
• Ability to derisk designs with signal and power integrity tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of complex electronics modules and systems from concept to production.
• Lead hardware engineering teams to develop multi-module products.
• Develop hardware architecture and write requirements for complex systems.
• Perform detailed schematic design and PCB layout in Altium Designer.
• Conduct worst-case, SI, and PI analyses; guide methodology.
• Create bring-up and verification plans for new hardware.
• Perform module bring-up and testing with cross-functional teams.
• Release hardware to production with Manufacturing and Test teams.
• Mentor engineers to build technical proficiency.
