Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead digital/mixed-signal hardware development for space and aerospace systems. You will drive concept-to-production for complex modules and mentor a small team in a startup-like, high-rigor environment.

As a Senior II, you will oversee architecture, detailed design, and verification, presenting design reviews to customers and executive leadership. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of board-level electronics design, analysis, and test.
• Experience with high-speed digital and SDR applications preferred but not required.
• Aerospace design experience valued.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of complex electronics modules from concept through production.
• Lead hardware teams to develop products with multiple modules.
• Develop hardware architecture and write system requirements.
• Perform detailed schematic design and PCB layout in Altium.
• Run signal integrity and power integrity analyses.
• Develop bring-up plans and verification testing.
• Release modules to production with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers.
