Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is actively seeking an Engineering Technician VI (Electrical Controls) with U.S. Navy shipboard experience to provide full-time support for U.S. Naval shipboard equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

The role involves troubleshooting, maintenance support, and training Ship's Force to improve fleet readiness. This position requires extensive Navy electrical control system experience and an active security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
Ten years of hands-on experience in operation, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and assessing Navy electrical control systems.
Experience with cables, power/lighting circuits, marine electrical systems, transformers, and control systems.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

Provide full-time onsite support and surge support as tasked for Code 265 equipment.
Serve as senior SME and lead for assessment teams and Fleet Technical Assistance teams on-site or via distance support, including engineering evaluations, troubleshooting, testing, and providing technical guidance.
Conduct pre-job briefings and report equipment readiness status.
Assist with technical input and preparation of DFS and ESR responses.
Deliver TAVRs and ship-visit debriefs.
