Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician VI (Steam) to deliver full-time, onsite support for U.S. Navy shipboard auxiliary equipment at SWRMC, San Diego, CA.

You will troubleshoot, assess, and train Ship's Force to enhance fleet readiness and self-sufficiency, working with Navy personnel aboard ships and at maintenance facilities. The role requires a Secret clearance, a high school diploma or GED, and 10 years of relevant naval steam system experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least ten years in operation, repair, maintenance of naval steam systems and related electrical systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reports and filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite and surge support for Code 266 equipment.
• Perform assessments and inspections to determine equipment condition and settings.
• Provide onboard maintenance training to Ship's Force technicians during relevant tasks.
• Analyze inspection data and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Document findings via required reporting tools within two working days of task completion.
