Job summary

THOR Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician VI (Steam) with U.S. Navy shipboard experience to provide full-time support for naval auxiliary equipment at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

You will work with Navy personnel aboard ships and at maintenance facilities to troubleshoot, maintain, assess, and train Ship’s Force, improving fleet readiness. This role requires extensive hands-on experience with steam and associated systems, 10+ years in relevant areas, and current SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least ten years of relevant experience in operation, repair, maintenance and assessment of U.S. Naval steam systems and related support systems.
• Ability to use computers including Microsoft Office for reports and transferring images.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for Code 266 cognizant equipment.
• Conduct assessments, inspections, and adjustments to equipment.
• Provide onboard maintenance training to Ship's Force technicians and support TSRA/INSURV tasks.
• Analyze data to identify faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Document findings and debrief through required reports within two working days.
