Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician (Electrical) with U.S. Navy shipboard experience to support MARMC in Norfolk, VA.

The role is on-site, with up to 10% travel, focusing on diagnosing, repairing, and training Ship's Force in electrical systems used on Navy auxiliary equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of hands-on Navy experience, SME capability, proficiency with test equipment, and the ability to prepare reports and communicate findings clearly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of hands-on US Navy auxiliary equipment experience.
  • SME level expertise on Electrical Controllers, PLCs, A/C Electrical Controls, and related systems.
  • Experience with Navy assessment programs and reporting processes.
  • Proficient with test equipment and Microsoft Office for reports and history files.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Full-Time Onsite Support as well as Surge Support for Code 252 cognizant equipment.
  • Conduct Fleet Technical Assistance on-site or via distance support, including troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
  • Assess equipment condition, observe operation, collect data, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians for gas turbine systems tasks.
  • Analyze inspection data to identify fault sources and propose repairs or replacements.
  • Report findings to MARMC leadership via required forms and reports within two working days.
