Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial preferred.
• Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) required.
• Experience with structural analysis, guying calcs, cable pulling calcs, coordination of protective devices, and electric demand and fault currents calculations.
• Own reliable transportation; some local/regional travel expected and reimbursed.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design engineering for electric utility customers.
• Develop work packages for OH, UG, URD, and Make Ready using GIS and WMS systems such as EFD, AUD, Smallworld, ArcGIS, Infor, EAM, STORMS, and Maximo.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget of assigned work.
• Perform planning and customer follow-up tasks.
• Analyze scope and maintain schedule adherence to client priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement to workflows for high-quality design deliverables.
• Coordinate conflicting utilities and develop large design packages in dense urban environments; handle work permits, easements, ROW applications.
• Be comfortable in field and office settings; may require site visits to collect field data.
