Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to support project teams and uphold OSHA standards at the site level. This role requires a solid safety background and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

You will assist with accidents investigations, safety orientations, and safety training while working closely with the ESH Manager and field teams to maintain a strong safety culture on Layton projects.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• Must have OSHA 510 certification and OSHA 30-hour training.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within the last two years.
• Demonstrated continuing education in construction safety.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety standards and deliver predictable outcomes for teams.
• Enforce OSHA and Layton policies at the site level.
• Assist in accident investigations and data collection.
• Monitor workers' compensation issues and report information.
• Provide site safety orientations and training.
• Support injury management and access to medical care.
• Conduct industrial hygiene surveys and respirator fit tests.
• Support VP-Field Operations and HR on compliance matters.
• Participate in monthly Safety Committee meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
