Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing safety, health, and environmental standards at the site level. The role requires a solid safety background, ongoing learning, and strong communication with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities include monitoring safety, assisting in incident investigations, conducting site safety orientations, and participating in monthly safety committee meetings.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• OSHA 510 - Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry certification required.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within the last two years.
• Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to ensure environmental, safety, and health standards on site.
• Investigate accidents with ESH Manager and collect data for investigations.
• Conduct site safety orientations and pre-construction safety briefings.
• Monitor safety conditions and enforce OSHA and company standards.
• Assist with injury management and workers' compensation data collection.
