Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards on-site. The role requires a strong foundation in construction safety and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

You will monitor safety conditions, assist in investigations, and provide safety training while collaborating with ESH leadership to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• Must possess OSHA 510 certificate for Construction Standards.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification with recent completion.
• OSHA 30-hour training for construction and STS certification.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support site teams to implement environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level.
• Monitor safety conditions and enforce OSHA and company standards.
• Assist in accident investigations and data collection.
• Maintain workers’ compensation data and reporting with ESH Manager.
• Provide site-level safety training to employees and subcontractors.
• Participate in pre-construction safety planning and meetings.
• Support injury management and ensure compliant medical care.
