Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Environmental Health & Safety Engineer, Construction Safety to oversee day-to-day EHS construction safety operations, lead a team of engineers, specialists, and technicians, and influence hiring and performance management.

You will ensure compliance with OSHA 1926, review safety laws, provide training on JHAs, permits to work, and contractor safety, and drive remediation actions to keep sites safe across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required with 3+ years in leadership of EHS programs focused on construction safety
• Hands-on experience leading multi-site or multi-contractor construction safety programs

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day activities and performance of the EHS construction safety team
• Review and approve POs and manage the safety program budget
• Develop practical solutions to improve construction site safety and drive contractor engagement
• Provide training and guidance on JHAs, safe work procedures, and permits to work
• Conduct contractor safety reviews and ensure compliance with EHS policies and regulations
• Implement and maintain site safety policies and perform regular inspections and risk assessments
