Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Construction Safety) to lead on-site EHS across a major Cape Canaveral infrastructure project. You will implement and audit EHS programs for contractors, identify hazards, and ensure OSHA, NFPA and NIOSH compliance while coordinating with leadership to improve safety across sites.

The role requires hands-on safety leadership, experience with construction safety, and the ability to train personnel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
1+ years of construction EHS experience or internships.
CHST certification preferred.
CSP certification preferred.
Fluent English and Spanish beneficial for on-site coordination.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH guidelines.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day EHS site management for a fast-paced construction project.
Develop safety observations from hazard identifications and inspections.
Collaborate with leadership to establish PPE requirements and safety policies.
Monitor employee exposure to hazards during normal operations and emergencies.
Educate and train construction personnel on safety practices.
Investigate incidents and write reports to determine root causes and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT and related regulations.
Allocate resources to safety-related needs.
