Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Lead Environmental Health & Safety Engineer for Construction Safety to lead the EHS construction safety team, guide safety policy, and ensure contractor safety across sites. The role focuses on implementing robust safety programs, training stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in EHS with leadership experience, plus knowledge of OSHA 1926 regulations and multi-site safety operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day activities and performance of the EHS construction safety team.
• Review and approve Purchase Orders and manage budgets for construction safety programs.
• Develop practical solutions to improve construction site safety and implement robust EHS programs.
• Provide training and guidance on JHAs, safe work procedures, and permits to work.
• Conduct contractor safety reviews and ensure compliance with OSHA 1926 and relevant regs.
• Lead implementation of safety policies and perform site inspections and risk assessments.
