Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior EH&S Technician for the Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta site, supporting Path2Zero initiatives and the global decarbonization program. The role focuses on implementing EH&S processes, controlling environmental, IH and health and safety aspects, and acting as the plant resource for related procedures and standards.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years of EH&S experience, strong communication and coaching skills, and the ability to work legally in Canada.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum 3 years of EH&S, OH&S or other relevant experience.
• Canada work eligibility; no visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Implements detailed, task level, day to day EH&S programs, utilizing the EH&S work process, standards and procedures.
• Ensures that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EH&S performance goals.
• Acts as the Plant resource for related EH&S information on procedures, guidelines and standards.
• Serves as plant contact for Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety issues.
• Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S related tasks and activities.
• Assists in developing and achieving area or plant EH&S goals.
• Ensures compliance tasks are completed.
• Performs/coordinates certain Environmental, IH monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the Plant.
