Job summary

Dow is seeking a Senior EH&S Technician for the Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta site to implement the EH&S management system and support the Path2Zero program. The role involves hands-on environmental, IH, and health & safety activities, acting as a resource for procedures and standards across the plant.

The successful candidate will guide teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance tasks are completed as part of the site’s decarbonization efforts and global safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED. (or equivalently)
• At least 3 years of EH&S experience or relevant background.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada; no visa sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Implements day-to-day EH&S programs using established work processes.
• Ensures Environmental, IH, and Health & Safety aspects are addressed to meet performance goals.
• Acts as the Plant resource for EH&S procedures and standards.
• Serves as plant contact for Environmental, IH, and Health & Safety issues.
• Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S tasks and activities.
• Supports in developing and achieving area or plant EH&S goals.
• Ensures completion of compliance tasks.
• Performs monitoring, data collection, analysis, and reporting for the plant.
