Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior EH&S Technician located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada. The role supports the Path2Zero program as part of Dow's decarbonization strategy, and provides hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene, and health and safety activities for the plant.

The technician implements EH&S programs, serves as a plant resource and contact for EH&S issues, coaches colleagues, and ensures compliance tasks are completed while advancing EH&S goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of EH&S, OH&S or relevant experience.
• Canada-based position requires ability to work legally in Canada; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Implements EH&S programs day-to-day using established work processes.
• Ensures EH&S aspects are applied to achieve performance goals and acts as section owner for EH&S areas.
• Serves as plant resource for EH&S information and as plant contact for EH&S issues.
• Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S tasks.
• Helps develop and achieve area or plant EH&S goals.
• Ensures completion of compliance tasks.
• Performs environmental and IH monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting.
