Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis in New York is seeking a Discovery Advisor within the Litigation & Practice Technology group to lead high-stakes document review projects from start to finish. You will work closely with attorneys and review teams to manage discovery initiatives leveraging technology, process, and consulting skills.

Qualifications

• JD required with 7+ years of experience in complex document review and discovery.
• Deep knowledge of the litigation lifecycle and eDiscovery protocols from data preservation through trial.
• Hands-on experience with Relativity and major eDiscovery platforms; proficiency in search construction and results validation.
• GenAI tools to streamline document review and discovery workflows; ability to develop effective prompts and validate outputs.
• Familiarity with TAR and analytics tools (BrainSpace, NexLP) and CAL/CMML protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end discovery across large, complex matters, coordinating investigation, review, production and trial prep.
• Coordinate review team onboarding, training, and quality assurance; support substantive review and privilege logging under attorney direction.
• Design and implement review workflows using TAR, batching, defensible search methodologies.
• Define scope, track progress, lead meetings, and communicate across internal teams, outside counsel, vendors, and clients.
• Analyze review findings, provide metrics, flag key documents, and help case teams prepare for depositions and trial.
• Provide hands-on Relativity support and assist with privilege logs and QC.
• Support knowledge sharing through training and internal publications.
• Execute special projects for urgent client and case team requests.
