Job summary

Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, DC area is seeking a Discovery Advisor in our Litigation & Practice Technology group to lead high-stakes document review projects from start to finish. You will coordinate teams, design workflows, and ensure defensible search strategies using Relativity and TAR techniques.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in complex litigation support, JD, and hands-on GenAI experience, with strong analytics and training skills to elevate review quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supporting complex document review projects and managing discovery across large-scale litigation.
• Deep knowledge of the litigation lifecycle, eDiscovery protocols and best practices from data preservation through trial.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Relativity and other major eDiscovery platforms; strong search construction and review design.
• GenAI tools to streamline document review and discovery workflows; comfortable developing prompts and validating outputs.

Responsibilities

• Discovery Lifecycle Management – over see end-to-end discovery across large matters.
• Review Oversight & Execution – coordinate onboarding, training, and QA; support substantive review and privilege logging.
• Workflow Optimization – design and implement review workflows including TAR and defensible search.
• Project Coordination – define scope, track progress, lead meetings, coordinate across teams and vendors.
• Analytics & Reporting – analyze findings, provide metrics, flag key documents for deposition or trial.
• Technology Enablement – provide hands-on support in Relativity and other tools; assist with privilege logs and advanced searches.
• Knowledge Sharing – develop training and contribute to internal publications.
• Special Projects – deliver technical and consulting support for urgent client requests.
