Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local programs within our portfolio.

Key duties include supporting HHRA/ERA tasks, developing DQOs/QAPPs, preparing exposure models, and mentoring junior staff. Travel up to 10% and collaboration with clients and sales teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science or related field with professional registration/certification.
• 7 years of related experience in environmental consulting.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally.

Responsibilities

• With general direction, supports site investigations and analysis for HHRA and ERA.
• Develops DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs for projects.
• Prepares CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs of varying complexity.
• Collaborates with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approach.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff and mentors others.
• Supports proposals and responds to RFPs with sales teams.
• Contributes to technical knowledge via white papers.
• Presents at conferences and symposia to promote firm capabilities.
