Job summary
CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The candidate will assist with regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects across CDM Smith’s portfolio.
Roles include supporting site investigations, data interpretation for HHRAs and ERAs, and developing QAPPs, SAPs, and exposure models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline; professional registration/certification preferred
- 7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulation
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency contingent on project needs
Responsibilities
- Support site investigations and interpretation of data for HRAs and ERAs
- Assist development of DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs
- Prepare CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff
- Support proposals and RFP responses with sales staff
- Contribute to technical knowledge through white papers and presentations
