Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects for the Environmental Services Group. This role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects in CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will collaborate with teams, develop DQOs, QAPPs, SAPs, and contribute to risk assessments, CSEMs, SLERAs, BERAs, and more, with opportunities to mentor staff and engage with clients at meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in science with professional registration/certification, or equivalent.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Background in toxicology, environmental science, chemistry or public health desired with 7+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and risk assessments (HHRAs and ERAs).
• Assist with DQOs, QAPPs, SAPs; planning CSEMs and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and mentor growth.
• Support proposals and attend conferences to promote firm's services.
