Tokio Marine HCC is seeking a Senior Construction Underwriter-Middle Market Focus to develop and manage a profitable middle-market construction book. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of E&S construction underwriting experience, and can market to brokers while growing a defined territory.

The role requires independent decision-making, strong production mindset, and ownership of book growth. Remote work with occasional travel may be expected.

Qualifications

• Senior-level underwriter with 5+ years E&S construction experience.
• Experience underwriting middle-market construction accounts.
• Owns a sizeable book of business (ideally $3M-$5M or more).
• Proven ability to market to brokers and develop relationships.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal policy applications to determine pricing and risk.
• Respond to broker inquiries within designated timeframe.
• Maintain binding files and underwriting documentation.
• Adhere to underwriting directives and company policies.
• Develop understanding of factors affecting policy rating and risk.
• Cultivate relationships to promote business development.
