Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Senior SME Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG Special Programs Division at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

You will oversee software architecture for DoD contractors using CI/CD, perform systems analyses, and participate in technical reviews and MBSE-driven requirements translation. You will bring a TS/SCI eligibility mindset, 20+ years of DoD or government experience, and 3+ years SAP/SCI experience, with travel up to CONUS.

Qualifications

• Active TOP-SECRET clearance with ability to obtain SCI and SAP eligibility
• Master's in Engineering with 20+ years of DoD/government/contractor experience
• Minimum 3 years SAP or SCI experience within the last 5 years
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (CONUS)
• Experience in DoD acquisition software engineering support (architecture, integration, test)
• Experience translating user requirements into system requirements documents
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and MBSE practices
• Ability to perform technical risk assessments and mitigation planning

Responsibilities

• Oversee software architecture of prime contractors implementing CI/CD for DoD software pipelines
• Assess interactions of software, firmware and hardware in complex systems
• Participate in software-centric reviews and CI/CD transition efforts
• Translate operational requirements into contract system requirements (MBSE) for traceability
• Analyze software performance and recommend corrective actions
• Audit contractor software configuration control and quality processes
• Review system design software architecture and interoperability requirements
• Evaluate test plans and participate in system, subsystems, and component testing
• Develop technical documents, provide feedback and briefings to sponsors
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals and interface with vendors/government representatives
• Assess AFRL initiatives to guide investments and transition strategies
• Assess contractor capabilities against design requirements and specifications
• Perform technical risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
• Prepare RFP technical documents and evaluate contractor proposals
