Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Senior Level Software Engineer to support the AFLCMC/WAG program at Tinker AFB. You will develop software strategies for weapon systems, translate requirements, and assess contractor deliveries to ensure performance and security.

This role requires hands-on development across C++, JavaScript, and Python, deep DoD cybersecurity awareness, and the ability to travel up to 10%. A Top-Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI/SAP access
• Hands-on software development experience in DoD programs
• Experience translating user requirements into system requirements
• Ability to assess DoD contractor software deliveries for aircraft/test equipment
• Knowledge of software design, integration, and certification processes
• Experience with software configuration and quality assurance practices
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (CONUS)

Responsibilities

• Develop software engineering strategies to acquire, develop, and sustain software for weapon systems and related subsystems
• Translate user requirements into system requirements for design, development, and testing of software
• Assess contractor software deliveries and analyze performance deficiencies
• Audit contractor software configuration and ensure adherence to quality accreditation
• Evaluate contractor proposed design changes and perform systems analyses
• Review software architecture, interoperability requirements, and test plans
• Support development of program and contract documentation and risk mitigation plans
• Conduct technical evaluations of contractor proposals and perform risk assessments
