Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Document Controller for a company in the offshore energy sector. The role oversees the daily processing of engineering and supplier documentation, including creation, release, transmittal, and revision, in line with procedures.

Key duties include maintaining the Master Document Register and Distribution Matrix, transmitting files through project systems, updating metadata, resolving issues, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience as a Document Controller in an EPC environment.
• Proficiency with document management systems such as Documentum, SmartPlant Foundation, Aconex, Supplier Exchange.
• Ability to develop and modify spreadsheets in Excel and extract data from databases.
• Proficiency with PDF automation tools such as Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
• Familiarity with MS Teams/WebEx/GoTo Meeting for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Create document placeholders per standard numbering procedures and perform quality checks.
• Maintain the Master Document Register and Document Distribution Matrix.
• Transmit documentation via company and project-specific systems.
• Update metadata across platforms and resolve document control issues.
• Mentor junior staff and support special projects such as system testing and training initiatives.
