SHOOK CAREERS in Chicago seeks an experienced Litigation Docketing Manager to lead the firm's docketing operations and ensure timely, accurate entry of all docketing data across jurisdictions.

You will oversee daily workflows, set performance metrics, and train a team of docketing staff while coordinating with attorneys, IT, and outside vendors to improve processes and service levels. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with minimum four to six years of litigation docketing experience.
• Experience managing a docketing team.
• Familiar with BEC Docket Enterprise or comparable docket software.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal contacts at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the firm's litigation docketing activities.
• Oversee daily docketing operations and set performance metrics.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of docketing data.
• Answer questions from attorneys and staff on docketing procedures.
• Audit the docketing system regularly for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and implement docketing procedures and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts on standards.
• Stay updated on court rules and summarize changes for teams.
• Build relationships with technology and services vendors.
• Serve as escalation point and liaison to IT and outside vendors.
• Train and supervise docketing staff.
• Generate reports on docketing activities and compliance.
• Manage large projects from start to finish with minimal guidance.
• Communicate clearly and professionally at all times.
• Keep supervisor informed of issues and potential problems.
• Operate office equipment and maintain a neat workplace.
• Follow safety procedures in all duties.
