Job summary

Roadrunner Freight in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead daily dock, freight, and terminal activities in a fast-paced LTL network. You will translate network strategy into execution, balance throughput with cost control, and maintain safety and compliance to protect shipment integrity.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years in logistics/operations, supervision experience, forklift certification or ability to obtain, and strong data, communication, and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of relevant operations or logistics experience.
• Experience in transportation, LTL, or warehouse operations.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain; Hazmat certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dock operations and linehaul coordination to ensure accurate routing and documentation.
• Monitor operating costs and support budget attainment through efficient labor utilization and workflow management.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and risk controls per DOT/OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Supervise and develop service center staff with clear expectations and accountability.
• Coordinate with linehaul contractors, drivers, and internal teams to ensure seamless freight movement and issue resolution.
