Job summary

Roadrunner is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Philadelphia, PA to lead dock and terminal operations, optimize load planning and linehaul coordination, and ensure accurate documentation. The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and compliance in a fast-paced LTL environment.

You will supervise frontline teams, drive performance, and collaborate with contractors and internal stakeholders to maintain service quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1–2 years of related operations/logistics experience.
• Experience in transportation/LTL, warehouse, or service center operations preferred.
• Hazmat handling knowledge; forklift certification preferred.
• Strong safety, regulatory compliance, and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dock operations including load planning and linehaul coordination.
• Ensure accurate routing, documentation, and data entry.
• Monitor operating costs and drive efficiency and margin improvements.
• Lead safety and compliance with DOT/OSHA standards.
• Coach and develop service center staff with clear expectations.
