Job summary

DuraServ is hiring experienced field technicians to diagnose with precision, install with pride, and own the outcome on commercial dock and door systems. You’ll work independently on site, read manuals and diagrams, and make technical decisions in the field to keep facilities running smoothly.

You’ll solve complex mechanical and electrical issues, use welding and fabrication skills, and uphold OSHA safety policies while delivering real-time updates to customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• Valid, current state-issued driver’s license; field travel to customer sites is daily
• Regular fieldwork outdoors, frequent ladder use, lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain commercial dock and door equipment to manufacturer standards.
• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting across a wide range of equipment types; diagnose root causes, not symptoms.
• Read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to guide diagnostics and repairs accurately.
• Document all service activity with precision — work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with customers, providing real-time job status updates and explaining additional service needs without overselling.
