Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a qualified engineer to lead project teams in electrical distribution design for upstream and midstream facilities. You will prepare and review construction sketches for 4 kV–34 kV systems, coordinate with clients, and participate in design reviews.

The role requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree, 5+ years of experience, and strong skills with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and related tools. Hybrid work with relocation assistance is offered.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 5+ years in electric utility distribution or related review experience.
• Knowledge of distribution design methods and their applications.
• Familiarity with codes and standards (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE) and distribution software.
• PLS CADD experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches and details for overhead and underground distribution (4 kV–34 kV).
• Work on project teams with engineers on upstream and midstream facilities.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and Design Reviews.
• Interact with client reps to answer questions on distribution design.
• Develop work packages and provide construction support as needed.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
