Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our distribution design team in a hybrid role based in Peachtree Corners, GA. You will lead engineers and designers, review sketches, calculations for 4 kV through 34 kV, and coordinate with clients on distribution design.

The ideal candidate has ABET-accredited degree, 5+ years in electric utility distribution, familiarity with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 5+ years in electric utility distribution or equivalent.
• Familiar with NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman; PLS CADD preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership to guide project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers and designers on distribution design projects.
• Prepare/review sketches, calculations for 4 kV–34 kV systems.
• Coordinate with clients and conduct design reviews.
• Develop work packages and provide construction support.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for reviews and field verification.
• Support automation/AI-enabled workflows and quality checks.
