Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking an electrical distribution engineer to lead a project team, preparing and reviewing construction sketches and work packages for 4 kV through 38 kV distribution, pole loading analyses, voltage drop calculations, and material estimates. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days; relocation may be available.

Candidates should hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with 2+ years of distribution

Qualifications

• This position requires a degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Two or more years of experience with electric utility distribution or relevant experience to review work by others.
• Knowledgeable in physical distribution design methods and their application.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.
• Experience with complex overhead and underground distribution projects (120/208V through 38kV).

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review construction sketches and work packages for distribution facilities (4 KV through 38 KV).
• Perform field work when necessary and provide construction support.
• Plan modifications to the system and oversee complex tasks.
• Lead a project team and communicate with clients as needed.
