Job summary

Sargent Lundy is seeking an engineer to work in a project team, preparing construction sketches for electric distribution (4 kV–34 kV) and performing analyses and design tasks. The role supports maintenance, recapitalization, and complex project work within a hybrid office/remote arrangement.

Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited degrees, 2+ years in utility distribution, and proficiency with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and PoleForeman. Relocation may be provided based on location.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in electric utility distribution or related field.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards and distribution software (AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman).
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sketches and details for overhead and underground network services (4 KV through 34 KV).
• Perform structural analyses, short circuit and voltage drop calculations.
• Develop work packages and provide as-builts at completion of construction.
• Plan modifications to the system and design complex tasks.
