Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior distribution engineer to lead a project team in delivering overhead and underground distribution designs up to 34 kV. You will prepare sketches, review calculations, and coordinate with clients and vendors.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two remote days, and a generous relocation package based on location. ABET-accredited degree and PE eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree.
• 5+ years of experience in electric utility distribution.
• Familiar with NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.
• Experience with overhead and underground distribution up to 34 kV.
• PLS CADD experience preferred.
• Ability to lead project teams.
• Professional Engineering Registration or ability to obtain PE within 5 years.
• Familiarity with distribution design/analysis software and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/review construction sketches for overhead and underground distribution (4 kV through 34 kV).
• Work on project teams with engineers designing upstream/midstream facilities.
• Develop work packages and provide construction support.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
• Lead a project team and coordinate with client representatives.
