Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a General Manager II to oversee a large distribution center operation in the United States. You will lead 200-400+ associates, shape daily operations, safety culture, and on-time, damage-free merchandise delivery to stores and customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 7 years of leadership in distribution/operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Willingness to relocate and flexibility to work weekends/holidays.
• Experience with change management and driving organizational change.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the DC's financial, operational, people and service related objectives to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
• Evaluate effectiveness of work methods, procedures and staffing to ensure accurate movement and processing of product; optimize warehouse layout.
• Collaborate with partners across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, HR, Asset Protection and Stores to drive results and share best practices.
• Coach and develop Associates through informal and formal training; maintain a union-free environment.
• Ensure Store and Customer needs are met; manage via KPIs; handle store/customer issues; conduct store walks.
• Maintain a culture of safety by following Home Depot safety policies and monitoring safety metrics.
