Job summary

The Home Depot in Atlanta, GA is seeking a DC Operations Manager to lead critical distribution center functions including inbound, warehouse, outbound, and transportation operations.

You will supervise multiple supervisors and hourly associates, drive safety, efficiency, and cost-to-serve improvements, and partner with the General Manager to set strategic directions for the DC. A strong background in warehouse management and people leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: high school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• 20% Managing to ensure operational excellence in all warehouse areas and safe processing of inventory.
• 20% Assists GM/AGM with evaluating work methods, staffing, and layout for maximum efficiency.
• 15% Drives cost-to-serve improvements and plans for seasonal changes and events.
• 15% Coaches and develops Associates, maintaining a union-free, employee-centered culture.
• 15% Maintains safety policies and monitors operational metrics daily/weekly/monthly.
• 15% May manage relationships with 3PL providers and transportation partners.
