Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a DC Operations Manager to lead core distribution center functions, overseeing inbound, warehouse, outbound, and transportation operations in a fast-paced environment. You will work with the GM/AGM to develop strategies that maximize productivity, improve safety, and drive cost efficiency while coaching a team of supervisors and hourly associates.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a bachelor’s degree preferred, and experience in operations management,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience with change management and driving change through communication at all levels.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays; on-call as needed.
• Willingness to relocate for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational excellence across all warehouse areas and WMS/equipment.
• Assist in evaluating work methods, procedures, controls and staffing for efficiency.
• Help drive cost-to-serve reductions by leading associates and implementing improvements.
• Coach and develop associates; maintain a positive, union-free environment.
• Maintain a culture of safety by following policies and monitoring metrics.
• Collaborate with GM on 3PL/transportation performance and carrier reviews.
