Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a team in the distribution center. You will oversee 20 to 30 hourly associates, hire and develop staff, and ensure safe, efficient handling of merchandise.

You will drive process improvements, monitor key metrics, and plan staffing to meet business goals. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of supervisory experience, a Bachelor’s or equivalent, and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED accepted.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a related field.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Managing process: ensures procedures are followed and suggests improvements.
• Coaching and developing associates: hires, trains, evaluates, and counsels hourly staff.
• Drives results: maintains inventory accuracy and analyzes key metrics.
• Business planning: aligns staffing and operations with business plans and metrics.
• Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or General Manager.
