Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Development for Dedicated Transportation (DTS) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role leads pursuit of new business and renewals, coordinating the full sales cycle and cross-functional teams to craft deal strategy, pricing, and value messaging.

Travel 40-50% with base salary plus commissions; focus on selling supply chain solutions. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of sales experience with quota attainment and a strong understanding of pricing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field is required.
• MBA preferred for advanced business acumen and leadership.
• Five+ years sales experience with quota history and 60 months quota attainment.
• Five+ years selling supply chain solutions with proven results.
• Understanding of services, costs, pricing and value is essential.
• Noncommercial Driver License CLASS E is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal pursuit with pricing strategy and proposal planning.
• Coordinate cross-functional pursuit teams and messaging.
• Develop pipeline by prospecting new brands and networks.
• Transition accounts and manage post-close commercial support.
