Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Senior Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs – Specialty Testing to set vision and lead product development, clinical research, and regulatory strategy on a global scale. You will partner with external stakeholders, academic leaders, and Beckman teams to advance hematology and urinalysis initiatives and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate level requirement (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) with a minimum of 20 years of medical & clinical affairs experience.
• Board-certified hematologist.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Strong leadership skills fostering transparency, collaboration, and innovative thinking.
• Minimum of 5 years of project management to set goals, plan, and evaluate deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Steer collaborative efforts between business leaders and research teams to define bench and human clinical research priorities for product development, regulatory submissions, and marketing.
• Establish strategic academic partners for future research and innovation partnerships; solicit investigator-initiated proposals aligned with Beckman needs.
• Lead and own global health economics, policy, and reimbursement strategies for Beckman solutions.
• Build and maintain influential relationships with key opinion leaders to drive scientific exchange and shape future technologies.
• Translate clinical/scientific insights from KOLs into actionable guidance for product teams; support pre-launch initiatives and lifecycle management.
