Job summary

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Senior Director of Medical & Scientific Affairs – Specialty Testing to set vision, lead product development, clinical research, and compliance on a global scale.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, you will forge partnerships with external experts, guide HEPR strategies, and drive pre-launch and lifecycle management, with remote work options and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Doctorate required (MD/PhD/PharmD/DNP) with 20+ years in medical/clinical affairs.
• Board-certified hematologist.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and collaboration across matrix organizations.
• 5+ years of project management experience with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Extensive clinical experience beyond hematology (bone health, anemia, immunology).

Responsibilities

• Steer collaboration between business leaders and research teams to define bench and clinical research priorities for product development, regulatory submissions, and marketing.
• Establish strategic academic partners for future research and innovation partnerships.
• Lead global strategies for health economics, policy, and reimbursement (HEPR).
• Build and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders to drive scientific exchange.
• Support pre-launch, commercialization, and lifecycle management through education, evidence generation and research.
