Job summary

Trustmark National Bank is seeking a Director of Private Banking to lead the Private Banking division, guiding strategy, client experience, and profitability. The role combines leadership of Relationship Managers with hands-on sales to drive growth and maintain regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, develop sales initiatives, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional service for affluent clients across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field.
• 5 years of leadership experience including manager or team lead.
• 8 years of private banking lending experience in personal production or leadership.
• Extensive knowledge of private banking products and applicable laws.
• Advanced sales skills for business development within Private Banking.
• Experience with affluent, high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.
• Strong communication, time management and analytical skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train, lead and develop team of associates to promote productivity and engagement.
• Manage profitability of the units, drive new business development and client retention to generate fee revenues.
• Serve as the senior client-facing representative of Private Banking to key clients and prospects.
• Develop sales strategies for the Private Banking team, including guiding internal/external presentations and cross-selling.
• Provide leadership and supervision to direct and indirect reports, including salary budgeting and annual reviews.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management per policy and procedures.
• All additional duties as assigned.
