You will set the strategy for observability, automation, and incident management while guiding SRE managers and senior ICs through complex, high-volume, low-latency systems. Qualifications

• 15 years in software engineering with 7 years in engineering management.
• Deep cloud-native architecture and large-scale distributed systems expertise.
• Strong design, automation, and performance optimization skills.
• Kubernetes, service meshes, and distributed tracing proficiency.
• Hands-on with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring/logging platforms (Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
• Knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL/NoSQL and networking/storage.
• Excellent incident command and crisis management abilities.
• Familiarity with regulatory/compliance frameworks.
• Leadership across distributed teams with psychological safety.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and org-level strategy for SRE across reliability, observability, automation, and incident management.
• Scale the SRE function across multiple payments domains and lead managers and ICs.
• Develop innovative solutions for high-availability, low-latency payment systems.
• Drive a culture of reliability, continuous improvement, and blameless postmortems.
• Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, and compliance across platforms.
• Engage with executives and represent SRE in reviews and strategic planning.
