Job summary

WEX, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Site Reliability Engineer Manager to lead a global SRE team and drive reliability across a diverse product portfolio.

You will focus on monitoring, automation, incident response, and capacity planning, partnering with engineering and product teams to bake reliability into everything built. The role emphasizes automation, AI-driven observability, and a product-oriented engineering mindset within a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in system administration, DevOps, or SRE roles.
• 2+ years of experience managing people or teams.
• 2+ years of experience leading projects.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with monitoring and logging (Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Understanding of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and elevate a globally diverse team of SREs and drive critical operations.
• Monitor and manage system health, availability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain automation tools for provisioning, monitoring, and alerting.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement reliability-focused features.
• Improve observability and logging for troubleshooting.
• Follow IT security policies and compliance requirements.
